This really is the starting point put so well.. It fundamentally alters how we see the world and ourselves within it. Then we can strive in each day to go about our interaction with the world and our fellow man/woman as ritual.

Energy..
Ritual is a way of harnessing the energies of the universe, perhaps for enlightenment, for healing. Just as indigenous peoples have always done - in harmony with the earth and other worlds/other realities. I feel we need to rediscover this.
Intention...
One of the keys to ritual is intention. If you can keep the attention on an intention, then the energy will flow. Is this what the great spiritual people and healers did? When we are really intent anything can happen!!
Slow it down!!
In our world we move ever faster. If we can slow it down, take time, let it sit and do this in ritual space then we can allow the connections with other worlds and energies. Perhaps this is one of the key things we must relearn.

Samhain
As we move towards the Celtic new year at the festival of Samhain on November 1st, it is worth thinking of rituals for this time. Getting in touch with our inner selfs and with the darkness of this time.
Reiki Healing
Reiki healing is a simple hands on healing technique,
which was re-discovered by Dr Usui in Japan in the late 19th Century.
It is a form of energy medicine. Dr Usui describes Reiki healing as the
Universal life force energy which calms the mind and raises the vibration
of the life force within a person thus supporting their healing process.
It originates in the Buddhist tradition of Tibet; a simplified version
of Reiki Healing has been brought to the West for use by people of all
faiths and none.
It is an energy assocciated with Medicine King Buddha.
